J-turn on southbound U.S. 63 north of Ashland to temporarily close

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Due to a nearby work zone, the J-turn for southbound traffic on U.S. Route 63 to access northbound U.S. 63, located just south of Boone County Route AB, will close today, Sept. 8.

For the safety of motorists and the workers performing pavement repairs near the J-turn, crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation will close the turnaround point today, but should have it reopened by 3 p.m. This work is expected to be completed today. During the closure, motorists on southbound U.S. 63 should use Route H to access northbound U.S. 63.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.

MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones.
